Géraldine is in charge of the Compliance consulting and auditing practice for PwC Belgium in the Financial Services sector.

Géraldine started her career as an auditor but quickly orientated her interests towards the evaluation and optimisation of internal control frameworks. She has then further specialised in the compliance-related sphere to perform assessments and advise on regulatory requirements through the implementation of operational controls, as well as secure, reliable and efficient monitoring and information systems, taking into account compliance with laws and regulations in Financial Crime, Payments, Sustainable Finance, Conduct, Governance and Data Privacy.

Eric Ducoulombier

Head of Unit B3 - Retail financial services, DG FISMA, European Commission

Eric Ducoulombier is, since 1 January 2019, Head of the Retail and Payments Unit in the European Commission (DG FISMA). Before that he was in charge of the Unit dealing with Inter-Institutional affairs and Planning in DG FISMA. Eric joined the European Commission in 1992, after having worked a few years in the private sector (consulting, law firm…). He holds a Master Degree in Law.

Jonathan Quin

Head of Europe Strategy, Ant Group

Jonathan Quin is Ant Group's Head of Europe Strategy. He was previously CEO of WorldFirst, a high-growth fintech that is making it faster, easier, safer and cheaper for businesses and individuals to move money around the world. Jonathan co-founded WorldFirst in 2004, after spending the earlier part of his career at Citibank and RBS. In February 2019, WorldFirst became part of the Ant Group.



Roeland Van der Stappen

Head of Regulatory Affairs, Europe, VISA

Roeland Van der Stappen is Head of Regulatory Affairs for Europe at Visa since November 2018. Based in Brussels, he coordinates Visa Europe’s approach to EU regulatory and policy discussions, shaping outreach and advocacy strategy in Brussels and in the region.

Mr Van der Stappen has been working in the financial sector for more than 10 years. Prior to joining Visa, Mr Van der Stappen served as Vice President of Government Policy and Public Relations at Barclays. In that role, he has been an active contributor on digital banking/ FinTech issues in various EU trade associations and platforms.



Alexis Waravka

Head Digital and Competitiveness, Independent Retail Europe

Alexis Waravka is Head Digital and Competitiveness at Independent Retail Europe - the European association that acts as an umbrella organisation for the main groups of independent retailers and their associations in the food and non-food sectors, bringing together 24 groups and their 380.980,00 independent retailers, who provide close to 6,5 million jobs.

Previously, Alexis Waravka worked for HOTREC, the umbrella association that represents the European hospitality sector, for public affairs consultancy Burson-Marsteller, as well as for the General Secretariat of the Council of the EU. Alexis Waravka holds a Master of Arts in European Interdisciplinary Studies from the College of Europe and a Master’s degree in EU law from the University of Rennes (France). He is a former laureate of the Lavoisier Scholarship of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.



Hartwig Gerhartinger

Senior Vice President, Legal & Regulatory, Deputy General Counsel, Paysafe Group

Dr. Hartwig Gerhartinger is a dedicated payments industry professional, an expert in payment services and e-money regulation as well as in anti-money laundering legislation.

As Deputy General Counsel, Hartwig advises Paysafe on all regulatory matters, including payment services and electronic money regulations, PSD2 and Brexit, as well as AML regulation. He has additional responsibility for governmental affairs, representing Paysafe with politicians and regulatory authorities globally.

Hartwig is Managing Director of paysafecard.com, part of Paysafe Group. He is also at the Board of Directors of the European Payment Institutions Federation (EPIF) and Prepaid Verband Deutschland (PVD).

He holds a doctorate in law and is currently a guest lecture for e-payments law at Danube University. He is the author and co-author of numerous publications.
